Job Description & How to Apply Below
Are you an engineer who thrives at the intersection of technical precision and strategic deal-making? We are looking for a Sales Engineer to serve as our lead technical execution strategist.
In this role, you won't just run numbers—you will take complex, often imperfect customer inputs and turn them into winning, defendable strategies for high-value industrial manufacturing projects.
What makes this role exciting:- Strategic Ownership:
You own the technical roadmap for firm quotes, stepping in to define execution strategies, evaluate constraints, and craft ironclad fixed-price proposals. - The Ultimate Problem-Solver:
You get to bring a sales-minded, "find-a-way" energy to complex engineering challenges—solving technical puzzles while driving key business growth. - Impact & Line-of-Sight:
You sit right at the center of innovation and execution, protecting project margins, steering supplier strategy, and ensuring smooth project handoffs from start to finish.
- Real Engineering Impact, Zero Bureaucracy: Move beyond standard desk-bound estimating. You’ll be the master strategist bridging high-level engineering and multi-million-dollar deal-making for complex, custom-built industrial equipment.
- Master Complex Problem-Solving: If you thrive on taking complex technical requirements and turning them into winning, bulletproof bids, this is your playground. You get to solve real technical puzzles and directly influence business growth every single day.
- A Culture That Actually Has Your Back: Join an industry leader that puts its people first. You'll work alongside top-tier technical minds in a collaborative, supportive environment where your input drives execution and your wins are celebrated.
- Tech-Forward & Modernized: Work with best-in-class design, modeling, and software tools to streamline quote creation, letting you focus on smart technical execution rather than getting bogged down in outdated processes.
- Quality Over Shortcuts: Partner with a company that takes immense pride in craftsmanship and precision. You won't be pushed to churn out cheap quotes—you'll be empowered to build smart, defendable strategies that protect team performance and bottom-line success.
- Industry-Leading Engineering Standards: Step into an opportunity with a premier manufacturer of custom-engineered heavy industrial equipment, recognized for high-precision design, advanced 3D modeling, and strict compliance with top industrial manufacturing standards.
- High-Impact Strategic Ownership: This role goes beyond standard estimating. You will sit at the intersection of technical strategy and execution, directly shaping how complex projects are bid, calculated, and brought to life across diverse market verticals including chemical processing, energy, and specialized manufacturing.
- "People-First" Culture: Join an established, growth-oriented company that operates on a strong "people-first" philosophy. The organization emphasizes professional development, continuous education, and a collaborative work environment where employees are given the tools and autonomy to succeed.
- Quality Over Volume: Work for an organization that values precision, safety, and clear communication over cutting corners. You'll partner directly with internal engineering, procurement, quality, and leadership teams to ensure top-tier delivery for every client.
- Modernized Operations: Benefit from a tech-forward infrastructure utilizing 3D modeling and automated design-to-production workflows that keep operations highly competitive and efficient.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a technical, engineering, fabrication, or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Estimating and/or Project Management experience is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, codes, and written directions.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
- Experience with PVElite, COMPRESS, Aspen Exchanger Design, BJAC, or similar programs preferred.
- Ability to perform high-level calculations and develop detailed take-offs and customer-facing proposal documents.
- Ability to manage multiple firm RFQs and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to meticulously document custom labor, material, schedule, and technical assumptions in a clear, reviewable, and executable format.
