Position Summary

Project Management & Construction (PMC) group is responsible for developing, designing, constructing, and commissioning new power-generation facilities. The I&C Engineer will provide technical leadership for instrumentation and control systems, including Emerson Ovation DCS
, PLCs, control logic, commissioning, and cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support project development, scope definition, EPC bid packages, cost estimates, schedules, and risk analysis.
  • Provide engineering oversight throughout design, construction, commissioning, and warranty phases.
  • Specify and procure Emerson Ovation DCS equipment.
  • Develop and review control logic, graphics, hardware, and software.
  • Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for control systems.
  • Support construction and commissioning activities, including technical RFIs and design reviews.
  • Provide oversight of site controls and cybersecurity assets
    .
  • Ensure compliance with NERC CIP, ISA, IEEE, NFPA
    , and other applicable standards.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, transmission, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Provide technical leadership to matrixed engineering and technical teams.
  • Prepare engineering reports, calculations, documentation, and technical recommendations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or PE license.
  • 4+ years of engineering experience
    .
  • Master’s degree in Engineering may substitute for the B.S. requirement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or PE license.
  • 6+ years of engineering experience
    , or 5+ years with PE registration
    .
  • Master’s degree in Engineering may substitute for the B.S. requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong experience with Emerson Ovation DCS
    .
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs
    .
  • Knowledge of power generation/control systems.
  • Understanding of NERC CIP and industrial cybersecurity
    .
  • Knowledge of ISA, IEEE, NFPA, and related engineering standards.
  • Strong technical, analytical, communication, and project-management skills.
  • EIT/FE certification with interest in obtaining a PE license
    .
  • Hybrid: Remote and onsite work after onboarding.
  • Travel: Approximately 15–25%.
  • Onsite work may require PPE such as hardhat, safety glasses, protective clothing, earplugs, and fall protection.
