Senior Mechanical Engineer

Seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive healthcare and central plant design experience to lead mechanical engineering, construction administration, project management, and firm leadership initiatives.

• BSME or equivalent accredited engineering degree.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Licensed in NC and SC, or able to obtain required licensure within 60 days.
• Minimum 10 years of mechanical design and construction administration experience.
• Minimum 7 years of clinical healthcare and central plant design experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally.
• Ability to visit and navigate active construction sites.

• Design and oversee steam, chilled water, HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems.
• Support equipment selection and technical oversight.
• Provide oversight of performance-based fire protection systems.
• Prepare mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection specifications.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and construction documentation.
• Conduct construction site visits, commissioning, and quality assurance reviews.
• Manage projects and coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams.
• Participate in firm leadership, strategic planning, recruiting, and transition planning.
