This role focuses on the technical intersection of textile manufacturing and advanced composite materials. The engineer will support the production of both 2D broad woven fabrics and complex 3D textiles (preforms and seals). This position requires a "team player" mentality, bridging the gap between traditional textile weaving and advanced materials science.
Key Responsibilities- Process Optimization:
Oversee the manufacturing of 2D and 3D woven fabrics, ensuring processes meet specific shape and performance requirements. - Technical Support:
Provide engineering guidance for 3D preform and seal manufacturing, focusing on shaped fabric weaving and looms. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with R&D and operations to transition development projects into stable production workflows. - Material Analysis:
Assist in troubleshooting issues related to carbon/ceramic shapes and resin systems. - Experience:
Background in traditional textiles manufacturing or advanced composite materials. - Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with weaving technologies (2D and 3D) and preform manufacturing.
