HSE is seeking an Arena Management Intern to support event day operations at Spectrum Center, including Charlotte Hornets game days, as well as daily activities within the Arena Management Department. The intern will rotate through various teams, gaining experience in arena operations, event management, security, arena projects and sustainability.
This is a paid, in person internship. Interns will be paid $15.00 per hour, with the ability to work a minimum of twenty (20), maximum of thirty (30) hours per week. The season program runs from September 7, 2026, through April 23, 2027. Core Values HSE embodies the following core values:

- Assist with daily administrative tasks in the Arena Management department.
- Organize and assist with Arena Management projects.
- Collaborate across Arena Management teams.
- Support vendor and partner communication.
- Assist with pre-event and day-of operations for Spectrum Center events and Charlotte Hornets games.
- Maintain records and prepare reports and correspondence.
- Create and update files with event information.
- Track and manage Spectrum Center sustainability data and work with internal and external partners.
- Participate in the full internship program, including workshops, speaker series, job shadowing and working on an intern project.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A major in Sport Management/Administration or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
- Male collegiate basketball players must have exhausted their NCAA eligibility before participating in the HSE internship program.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information.
- Flexibility and reliability as a teammate.
- Creativity, organization and the ability to adapt to changing environments.
- A professional demeanor and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external contacts.
- Availability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends and holidays to attend company events.
