Tax Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail‑oriented Indirect Tax Analyst to support a global Corporate Accounts Payable function operating across more than 40 countries. This role sits in Charlotte, NC on the Global Indirect Tax team, which supports Business Personal Property, U.S. Sales & Use Tax, and U.S. Information Reporting & Withholding. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with one of the world’s leading financial institutions.

• Review vendor invoices for accurate application of sales tax, federal/state withholding, and tax reporting requirements
• Support 1099 reporting processes
• Conduct basic tax research and respond to internal inquiries
• Create and maintain Excel‑based tax and financial reports
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with internal teams across Accounts Payable, Compliance, Risk, and Tax
• Support smooth day‑to‑day operations (BAU) within the Indirect Tax team
• Strong tax and accounting experience, required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced analytical capabilities
• Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong collaboration skills and comfort working with team members of varying seniority
• Ability to follow established procedures while identifying opportunities for process/documentation improvements
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reporting, etc.)
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities
