• Supports senior bankers by conducting research, staying abreast of client and industry trends, and participating in client and industry related strategic and tactical planning.
• Prepares written material, including pitches, proposals, and client materials in preparation for client meetings.
• Participates in client meetings, due diligence visits, and other client interactions during which they gain exposure to key executives and senior bankers.
• Prepares underwriting materials for the credit approval process including credit screening memos and strategic approval memos with associated supporting analyses.
• Conducts ongoing portfolio monitoring of an assigned portfolio of clients including preparation of credit monitoring memos.
• Maintains proprietary databases through monitoring news, current events, transactions, and financial information for clients, prospects and other industry participants.
• Understands client needs and identifies Regions’ products and services, or other unique, actionable ideas that can help clients achieve their goals.
• Develops and maintains detailed financial models to value companies and depict projected financial results.
• Ensures high quality client deliverables through strong written communication, presentation skills, and attention to detail.
• Conducts extensive financial and industry due diligence to evaluate the risk/return parameters and mitigating factors of a transaction.

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Analyst program length may be 2 or more years. Emerging Talent Program Analysts start with a six-week training program before beginning work within their business unit (this will not apply to hires outside of the Emerging Talent Program).

• Bachelor’s degree with proven record of high achievement.
• Coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance.

• Past relevant experience (i.e., summer internships or one (1) to two (2) years past experience).

• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, team-focused environment.
• Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Dedication towards excellence and achieving results.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.

The Renewables Finance team, which is part of the Energy Group in Specialized Industries, is responsible for underwriting and managing Regions’ portfolio of solar and battery‑storage investments, including both direct debt lending and tax equity positions. As a Renewables Finance Analyst, you will collaborate closely with Senior Product Specialists to evaluate new credit opportunities to solar and battery-storage projects at both the construction and operational phases, as well as performing on-going monitoring on existing debt and tax equity projects.
