Precision Recruiting Solutions Group is partnering with a fast-growing, Private Equity-backed manufacturing organization in the Charlotte Metro area seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations and serve as a key member of the leadership team.
This is a high-visibility role within an intense, performance-driven PE environment. The Controller will drive EBITDA through operational efficiencies, strong systems, disciplined financial close processes, and enhanced reporting visibility.
Position OverviewThe Controller will own the monthly close, manage a small accounting team, and deliver timely, accurate financial reporting to Private Equity ownership and senior lenders. This role requires both technical accounting strength and operational partnership across the business.

Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Close ManagementOwn the monthly close process and produce accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
Ensure disciplined close timelines with clear, actionable reporting
Develop and maintain strong internal controls
Prepare board-quality reporting packages including KPIs, variance analysis, and commentary
Deliver lender reporting including covenant compliance, borrowing base schedules, and supporting documentation
Support audits, lender exams, and financial diligence processes
Partner with operations on inventory accounting, cost drivers, margin analysis, and physical counts
Improve cost visibility and financial transparency across manufacturing operations
Drive EBITDA improvement initiatives through financial insights
Lead or support ERP implementation/enhancement initiatives (Net Suite experience highly desired)
Improve reporting automation and standard operating procedures
Strengthen accounting infrastructure to support continued growth
Manage and develop a small accounting/finance team
Establish accountability, structure, and professional growth within the department
7+ years of progressive accounting experience
2+ years of direct leadership experience
Strong GAAP knowledge and month-end close discipline
Manufacturing experience (inventory & costing required)
Experience operating within PE-backed or lender-driven environments
Advanced Excel skills
Net Suite systems implementation experience strongly preferred
CPA and/or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience with manufacturing ERPs (Net Suite preferred)
Audit, diligence, or Quality of Earnings exposure
Direct impact on EBITDA and operational performance
Significant exposure to PE ownership and senior lenders
