Position Summary

The Investment Analyst / Associate supports the MBL Advisors investment team in all aspects of portfolio management, research, client reporting, trading and execution, and client servicing. This individual will assist in the evaluation, design, and implementation of investment strategies across client portfolios. The position provides broad exposure to asset allocation, manager due diligence, performance reporting, and investment communications, with a focus on developing strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of portfolio construction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the CIO and portfolio managers in portfolio implementation, trading, and performance reporting.
  • Conduct investment research across asset classes, including traditional and alternative strategies.
  • Assist with manager due diligence, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Prepare client portfolio reviews, investment summaries, and meeting materials.
  • Participate in investment committee discussions and contribute to ongoing research projects.
  • Monitor portfolio compliance with investment policy statements and client objectives.
  • Collaborate with advisors to ensure investment strategies align with clients’ goals, risk tolerance, and liquidity needs.
  • Maintain familiarity with industry trends, macroeconomic developments, and financial market dynamics.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • 1–4 years of professional experience in investment management, private wealth management, or financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with portfolio management systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree (in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field preferred).
  • Progress toward the CFA designation (Level I completed or in progress preferred).
  • Demonstrated curiosity about markets and a disciplined, research-oriented mindset.
  • Strong personal integrity and ability to work collaboratively within a small, high-performing team environment.
