Director – Transaction Advisory Services

FD Transaction Advisory (FDTA) is a boutique transaction advisory firm focused on buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence and Office of the CFO support for private equity firms and strategic buyers. Our reputation is built on senior-level execution, sound judgment, and credibility with sophisticated deal teams.

We are seeking a Director with a strong transaction advisory background to oversee complex engagements, advise clients on transaction risks, and help scale our platform. This role is ideal for professionals trained in a Big 4 environment who are looking for greater impact, client ownership, and entrepreneurial upside — while we also welcome candidates from top-tier national and independent advisory firms with comparable deal experience.

• Oversee complex buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence and Office of the CFO support engagements
• Serve as a senior advisor to private equity and strategic clients
• Provide perspective on deal risks, normalization issues, and transaction implications
• Review and approve key analyses and client deliverables
• Mentor Managers and Senior Associates and raise the technical bar across engagements
• Support business development, client expansion, and firm growth initiatives

• 10+ years of transaction advisory / financial due diligence experience
• Background in Big 4 transaction services strongly preferred; experience at leading national or independent firms (e.g., RSM, Grant Thornton, Alvarez & Marsal, or similar) also highly valued
• CPA required
• Deep understanding of private equity deal dynamics and client expectations
• Track record as a trusted advisor to sophisticated deal teams
