Wells Fargo’s Corporate Controller’s Division is seeking a highly motivated individual as Accountant 5 on the Corporate Regulatory Reporting (CRR) team in Charlotte, NC. This position will be responsible for leading the Company’s Country Exposure Report (FFIEC 009/009a) preparation and filing and supporting U.S. regulatory reporting for the Company’s international activities including Financial Stability Board (FSB) Phase 3, EDGE (FR2886b) and foreign subsidiary (FR2314) reports.
This position requires a strong understanding of financial reporting under U.S. GAAP and also participates in CRR Department, Controller’s Division, Corporate Finance, and Company-wide initiatives.
- Basic Qualifications
- • 6+ years accounting experience
- Minimum Qualifications
- • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience that includes 3 years of preparation of financial statements or components thereof under U.S. GAAP
- • 3 years public accounting or financial services industry experience
- • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with business line management or banking regulators
- • Demonstrated strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- • Demonstrated ability to research technical accounting or regulatory reporting issues, understand accounting and regulatory concepts and draw conclusions to make recommendations
- • Demonstrated knowledge of loan, securities and derivative products
- • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Preferred Skills
- • BA/BS in Accounting PREFERRED Masters in finance, math, economics, stats or MBA
- • Prior regulatory or SEC reporting experience in the financial services industry
- • Experience with country risk reporting concepts
- • Experience implementing new reporting requirements
- • Experience with Share Point
- • Proficient user of Essbase
