Head of Accounting Policy
** Senior accounting policy leader for a complex life & reinsurance platform. This role owns accounting policy decisions across large transactions, investments, and insurance liabilities, and leads a small, high-caliber team (3-5). Heavy judgment, real influence.

Role can sit in Charlotte, Hartford, NYC, or Bermuda with regular travel between offices.###
** What You’ll Do
*** Own accounting policy across US GAAP, US STAT, and EBS
* Lead policy analysis for large transactions, new products, and new asset classes
* Drive implementation of new standards (LDTI, credit losses, revenue, NAIC updates)
* Partner directly with investments front office, actuaries, and external advisors
* Set and maintain policy for annuities, life products, and reinsurance structures
* Review legacy policies and modernize as the business scales
* Support M&A, block reinsurance, and capital transactions
* Oversee policy memos, technical conclusions, and execution into reporting---###
** What They’re Looking For
*** 10+ years of life insurance / reinsurance accounting
* 5+ years in technical accounting / accounting policy
* Strong experience with block re, legal entity deals, and complex transactions
* Deep product knowledge:  + Variable annuities  + Fixed indexed annuities  + Payout annuities  + Universal life
