Position

Summary

Financial Analyst, FP&A – Internal Reporting plays a critical role in delivering accurate, insightful, and timely financial reporting for Novolex leadership, Apollo, and the Board. This role supports enterprise-wide performance management, consolidation activities, and executive-level storytelling across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities SG&A Reporting, Analysis & Storytelling
  • Support preparation and consolidation of monthly SG&A results, including variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Assist in developing monthly business review materials with a strong focus on SG&A performance, key drivers, and trends.
  • Partner with Director and business stakeholders to synthesize SG&A cost drivers, risks, and opportunities into clear financial narratives.
  • Support financial close activities related to SG&A, including flash reporting, performance bridges, and variance commentary.
  • Prepare consistent and timely recurring SG&A reporting to provide visibility into spend trends and run‑rate performance.
  • Support executive‑level SG&A storytelling by translating detailed analyses into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
  • Provide analytical and reporting support related to SG&A for Private Equity, Investor Relations, and other external stakeholders as needed.
  • Contribute to quarterly investor materials with a focus on SG&A performance, productivity, and cost discipline.
Enterprise Reporting and Consolidation (Broader FP&A Support)
  • Support preparation and consolidation of Novolex monthly management reporting, including P&L, cash flow, margin performance, and operational KPIs.
  • Assist in developing monthly business review materials, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clear commentary.
  • Partner with Director and business teams to synthesize key drivers, risks, and trends impacting performance.
  • Support financial close activities, including flash reporting, performance bridges (Net Sales, Material Margin, EBITDA), and variance analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain recurring daily/weekly reporting to provide visibility into business performance.
  • Provide analytical and reporting support for Private Equity, Investor Relations, and market data segmentation requests.
  • Contribute to quarterly investor deck preparation, ensuring alignment between operations, finance, and corporate messaging.
Process, Systems & Ad Hoc Support
  • Act as a user of the EPM Financial System, supporting SG&A data validation, hierarchy management, and reporting enhancements.
  • Partner with Data Transformation & Analytics to support standardized SG&A reporting frameworks across FP&A.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining SG&A reporting templates, automated outputs, and scalable processes.
  • Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives impacting SG&A, including cost optimization, benchmarking, and forecasting enhancements.
  • Deliver high‑quality ad hoc SG&A analyses under tight timelines, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of FP&A or Corporate Finance experience (or equivalent) in a multi‑business unit environment.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial systems (EPM experience preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across functions.
