Senior Accounting Professional
Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) A rapidly growing, innovation-driven organization is seeking a Senior Accounting professional to help modernize and elevate its core accounting operations. This position partners closely with Accounting leadership and plays a key role in strengthening processes, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting across the business.
Key Responsibilities Process Improvement & Transformation- Partner with finance and operational leaders to evaluate, design, and implement process enhancements within the accounting function
- Contribute to cross‑functional initiatives by providing accounting input on new programs, systems, and operational changes
- Develop tools, reporting frameworks, and data‑driven solutions to improve close cycles, reporting efficiency, and overall execution
- Support analysis of complex accounting topics such as revenue recognition, leases, acquisitions, and other technical areas
- Perform research on applicable accounting guidance and prepare clear documentation supporting conclusions and disclosures
- Monitor evolving accounting standards and assess potential financial statement impacts
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and both recurring and ad hoc financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to provide insights that support operational and strategic decision‑making
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate manual tasks, and enhance overall accuracy and efficiency
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with the ability to interpret data and draw sound conclusions
- Experience working in fast‑paced, high‑growth and/or private equity‑backed environments preferred
- High attention to detail with a data‑driven mindset
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems and large data sets is a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
