About the Role:
Our client, a prestigious Am Law 100 firm with a nationally recognized Corporate and Commercial Finance Practice
, is seeking a Staff Attorney or Junior Associate to join its growing Charlotte team
. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience working with some of the most sophisticated financial institutions, lenders, and corporate borrowers in the country.

The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting complex finance transactions
, including secured commercial lending, syndicated and bilateral bank financings, asset-based lending, acquisition financings, and commodity finance matters. Working closely with senior attorneys and deal teams, you'll draft and review transaction documents, assist with due diligence, and provide critical support from inception through closing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and revise finance and loan documentation for complex lending transactions.
  • Support deal teams on multiple active transactions simultaneously.
  • Coordinate with lenders, borrowers, and internal teams to ensure timely execution and closing.
  • Conduct legal due diligence and maintain transaction checklists.
  • Contribute to deal structuring and provide issue-spotting across various finance products.
Qualifications:
  • 1-4 years of experience in corporate finance, banking, or commercial lending at a major law firm.
  • Strong academic background (Top 25% or GPA 3.5+, honors preferred).
  • Juris Doctor and admission to at least one U.S. State Bar (
    North Carolina preferred or willingness to waive in).
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
