Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Junior M&A / Financial Analyst

A boutique, high-performing M&A advisory firm in South Charlotte is seeking a Junior Financial / M&A Analyst to support active sell-side transactions. The firm operates lean and has facilitated $200MM+ in completed deals. This is a hands-on role with direct exposure to live transactions and senior deal leadership.

The Role

This position supports multiple concurrent sell-side engagements. The analyst will play a key role in financial modeling, valuation analysis, deal materials, and buyer diligence management.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models (3-statement, forecasts, cash flow modeling)
  • Perform valuation analyses (DCF, comparable transactions, WACC calculations)
  • Prepare pitch decks and confidential information memorandums
  • Organize and manage virtual data rooms
  • Respond to buyer diligence and financial data requests
  • Analyze unit economics and operating drivers
  • Support live transaction processes from marketing to close

This is not a back-office FP&A role — it is transaction-focused and execution-driven.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We’re looking for a highly analytical, detail-obsessed finance professional who thrives in a lean, performance-driven environment.

Strong fit if you have:
  • 2–5 years in FP&A, investment banking, valuation, audit, or transaction advisory
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Experience building DCF and comparable valuation models
  • Exposure to Private Equity, institutional lenders, or transaction processes
  • Strong accounting foundation (US GAAP / IFRS knowledge preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines with minimal oversight
  • High work ethic and intellectual curiosity
  • CFA candidate or FMVA pursuit
  • CPA background
  • Experience supporting capital raises or IPO preparation
Why This Role
  • Direct exposure to live M&A deals
  • High visibility with senior deal makers
  • Accelerated learning environment
  • Strong compensation for experience level
  • Clear path to grow within transaction advisory
