Interim Accounts Payable Consultant

Steven Douglas is partnering with a client in need of an Interim Accounts Payable Consultant for 3-4 months. This need is on-site 4 days per week in Charlotte, NC (on the south side of town).

This individual will assist with the following tasks:

• Hands-on transaction processing for a high volume of invoices
• 3-way matching, coding, and resolution of PO variances
• Intercompany invoicing T&E
• Run reports, review aging, and tie AP activity to the balance sheet
• Perform detailed invoice analysis and coding validation
• Oversight of day-to-day AP operations
• Assess current AP process and controls and identify areas for improvement
• Generate operational and financial reports

The ideal candidate will have the following expertise:

• In-depth knowledge of accounts payable operations and processes including month-end close
• Experience in construction, EPC, manufacturing, or project-based environments
• Strong process improvement skills
• Prior experience supervising a team
• Comfortable in high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with business partners
• Knowledge of Oracle and Net Suite highly preferred
• Experience with Stampli, , or similar OCR/AP automation tools helpful but not required
