Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development and customer acquisition opportunities for the Business Banking Segment.
  • Serve as the Business Banking representative in the identification and evaluation of partnerships, investments and acquisitions.
  • Actively lead cross‑functional teams, including representation from Finance, Accounting, Product, Legal, Risk and other business lines.
  • Represent Business Banking in the deal process, including due diligence, business case development, term sheet preparation and contract negotiations.
  • Provide thought leadership in developing long‑term strategies and growth opportunities.
  • Partner with other U.S. Bank business lines to access and maximize the potential value of acquisitions, partnerships and investments.
  • Collaborate with payments, treasury management, CBB and private wealth to identify and evaluate opportunities to increase centrality and grow the Business Banking segment.
  • Continuously review the market landscape to assess opportunities for cross‑business line impact.
  • Develop and refine multi‑year strategic acquisition and partnership strategies to support growth objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ten‑to‑fifteen years of related experience in corporate development, investment banking or related fields.
Preferred Skills/

Experience:
  • Knowledge of banking and payments products and the competitive landscape.
  • Financial modeling expertise.
  • Experience with identifying and negotiating acquisitions, investments, partnerships and alliances, including due diligence, modeling, legal agreements, etc.
  • Strong problem‑solving and project management skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve or escale complex problems with minimal guidance.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Hybrid/flexible schedule:

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, requiring an in‑office presence of at least three days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office for the remaining days.
