Job Description
At Regions, the Specialized Industry Sector Group Manager manages a team of specialized bankers and has overall responsibility for a team covering a specific industry. Responsibilities include revenue growth and profitability for corporate banking services by managing a team of Specialized Bankers whose primary role is originating leadership roles in loan syndications, capital markets and financial advisory transactions through demonstrated industry expertise.
Insures the cross‑sell of the firm’s products and services through effective partnership with key product, credit and/or corporate and commercial banking geography partners. As the Specialized Industry Sector Group Manager ensures that the client/deal team institutionalizes new relationships, delivers thoughtful and appropriate client solutions and optimizes client fee and revenue opportunities for Regions Securities LLC and Regions Bank. Incumbents are expected have the Series 79, 63 and 24 licenses or be able to obtain them within six months of employment.
Responsibilities
- Assists team members with complex account relationships and guide less‑experienced members of the team
- Directs deal efforts of team
- Achieves team performance and revenue goals
- Monitors and reinforces building of strong partnerships between team members and other Lines of Businesses to facilitate the flow and generation of referrals and leads
- Ensures adherence to policies and procedures
- Develops partnership with other departments within Regions to achieve a strong team go to market approach
- Works with credit to insure proper risk adherence
- Sets pipeline and sales production goals and coach bankers in all business development efforts
- Provides advice, coaching and guidance to team members on specialized industries banking practices and deal structure
- Performs general management duties, exercising usual authority concerning staff, performance appraisals, promotions and terminations
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements- Twelve (12) years of corporate and universal banking experience in the industry vertical
- Six (6) years supervisory experience (including deal team leadership)
- Developed network of client contacts
- Prior corporate lending experience
Preferred background to include experience serving high‑grade and leveraged issuers across the Transportation & Logistics Services sectors to include a successful track record of partnering with clients to deliver tailored capital markets and banking solutions, encompassing syndicated lending, public and private debt, securitizations, M&A advisory, equity capital markets, and a full suite of traditional banking products.

- Proven ability to lead by example and effectively manage a team
- Proven ability to originate, execute and close Capital Markets transactions and Advisory engagements
