Finance Management Summer Analyst Program - 2027
Finance Management Summer Analyst Program (FMAP internship) is a 10‑week internship that introduces participants to Bank of America and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Group. The CFO Group is responsible for the overall financial management of the company, including financial and regulatory reporting, balance sheet management, financial planning and analysis, treasury, accounting, investor relations, corporate investments, and tax.
Internship OverviewThis role focuses on financial and management accounting, corporate and strategic finance, and internal treasury functions within the CFO Group.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participate in activities designed to foster teamwork, networking, and engagement with senior leadership.
- Build upon technical skills, industry knowledge, and familiarity with a corporate environment.
- Take a proactive approach to learning.
- Forecast financial and non‑financial trends, develop models, and perform financial analysis of business investments.
- Support internal financial planning and management accounting functions.
- Present financial data and analysis to business partners.
- Evaluate opportunities for process improvements across the CFO Group.
- Network with finance executives and key stakeholders to cultivate meaningful relationships across various lines of business.
Outcomes include formal training at program start and ongoing support, events, and mentorship throughout:

The program assigns Analysts to teams within the CFO Group. Potential teams include:
- CFO COO & Governance
- CFO Data Management
- Corporate Treasury
- Global Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Markets and International Finance
- Global Technology and Global Operations Finance
- Regional Banking & Wealth Management Finance
- Staff Support Finance
- Strategic Forecasting and Expense Management
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or accelerated (4+1) degree program from an accredited college or university, with a final graduation date between November 2027 and August 2028.
- Preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Common areas of study include:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Economics
- Business Administration
- Mathematics/Statistics
- Data Analytics
- Information Systems (with finance focus)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Basic financial and accounting knowledge (understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and processes.
- Leadership experience through student organizations, internships, or projects.
- Bank of America is unable to consider candidates who require visa sponsorship for this role.
