This role will be the point person for onboarding large-scale practice groups, ensuring seamless integration from proposal to filing.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and sustain excellent relationships with privately held and private equity-backed healthcare companies, serving as a trusted primary advisor.
* Perform technical reviews of federal, state, and local tax returns with varying complexity, ensuring full compliance within the unique regulatory framework of the healthcare industry.
* Provide expert tax modeling and consulting for mergers, acquisitions, and equity transactions, identifying creative solutions for complex structural issues.
* Review operating agreements, letters of intent (LOIs), purchase agreements, and other legal documentation to ensure tax efficiency and risk mitigation.
* Lead the administrative side of new business proposals and the onboarding/integration of large practice groups (ranging from 20 to 100+ locations).
* Monitor the economic performance of engagements, including budgeting, billing, and collections, to ensure practice profitability.
* Recruit, develop, and motivate team members, building a "ready-now" pipeline of leaders to support a consolidated healthcare tax team.
* Partner with internal departments to provide comprehensive business solutions and capture growth opportunities from existing and prospective clients.
* Build a robust professional network with colleagues, referral sources, and external organizations to attract new business in the healthcare and private equity sectors.
* Other duties within the scope of the role and practice.

* 3+ years of experience managing staff and overseeing the economic performance of a client portfolio.
* Ability to leverage or build a professional network within a market and broader healthcare community.
