Payments Operations Analyst (Wire Payments)
Charlotte, NC | Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote | Contract (initially 12 months; potential extension into post-implementation support)
W2 ONLY - $62-64/hr – NO 1099 NO CTC NO THIRD PARTY
Supports the wire payments defect management process within a regulated financial services environment. Will be responsible for driving defect resolution across multiple applications in the payments ecosystem and ensuring issues are tracked, analyzed, and resolved in partnership with internal teams and external vendors.
Required Experience- Experience in wire payments or global payment systems
- SWIFT, Fedwire, CHIPS (mandatory exposure to payment rails)
- Understanding of end-to-end wire payment lifecycle
- Initiation → screening → validation → settlement → completion
- Experience with defect management in QA/UAT or production environments
- Ability to interpret payment message formats and flows (e.g., SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022 concepts)
- Exposure to payment processing systems and financial transaction workflows
- Experience supporting regulated financial services environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create executive-level reporting and presentations
