Lead Process Engineer

As a lead process engineer, you will join the Commercial Banking Process Improvement and Intelligent Automaton team. Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions. The Process Improvement and Intelligent Automaton team enables our business to adopt and execute a data-driven, continuous improvement approach to run and change our businesses, with measurable and sustained value to shareholders, customers and employees.

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Process Engineer...

In this role, you will:

  • Assist with the process model documentation of Commercial Banking front line business processes along with their associated risks and controls
  • Partner with aligned Business Control Managers and Operational Risk partners on RCSA readiness activities
  • Lead group initiatives that encompass research and future state requiring application of specialized knowledge or skills critical to the redesign efforts
  • Ensure effective relationships among the design teams and partners
  • Develop root cause research and business case for proposed technology, staff and structure changes, including cost estimates
  • Establish standards for measuring performance against process requirements utilizing formal process engineering tools and methods
  • Ensure development of metrics that provide data for future improvement opportunities
  • Ensure appropriate application of cultural focus, tools, and statistical approach
  • Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives
  • Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 5+ years of Process Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired

Qualifications:

  • Strong facilitation, time management, organizational and influencing skills
  • Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Experience with large programs in a financial institution
  • Experience with training programs
  • Knowledge and understanding of Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) software such as iGrafx
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage complex projects in a large enterprise environment
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
  • Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations
  • Experience interacting with leadership and building relationships
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all internal organizational levels
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Share Point
  • Consulting experience with a big 4 firm

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
