About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager to support the Healthcare, Higher Education and Nonprofit lending team in Specialized Industries in Commercial Banking. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at  #Commercial Banking

In this role, you will:

* Participate in performing financial research, underwriting, and structuring of highly complex private banking as well as consumer and mortgage relationships within Commercial Banking Portfolio Management functional area

* Review and research business financial statements and tax returns that require an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors

* Resolve moderately complex issues and lead Commercial Banking Portfolio Management team, to meet project deliverables, while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

* Collaborate and consult with Commercial Banking Portfolio Management peers, colleagues, and mid level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

* Lead projects and teams or serve as a mentor for less experienced individuals

Required Qualifications:

* 4+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired

Qualifications:

* Experience in Healthcare, Higher Education and Nonprofit Lending sectors

* Ability to quickly evaluate direct and operating exposure situations on short deadlines driven by the RFP process

* Advanced credit structuring and portfolio analysis skills, with ability to evaluate complex and unique lending situations

* Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional initiatives involving Credit, Risk, Relationship Management, and Operations

* Strong understanding of commercial credit policy, regulatory considerations, and risk rating methodologies

* Proven ability to mentor and guide peers or junior portfolio managers in underwriting quality, portfolio monitoring, and credit decisioning

* Strong communication skills, with ability to present complex credit findings and recommendations to leaders and credit partners

Job Expectations:

* Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

* This position does not support Visa Sponsorship

* Ability to work a hybrid work schedule

* Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
