Position: 2027 Thurgood Marshall Fund Ascent Application (Pipeline Requisition for Summer Opportunities)

Truist Internship

The Truist Internship provides college students with a working and immersion experience to sharpen their skills. During this internship, time is focused on internship long projects with other students and full-time, experienced teammates. Interns have the opportunity to network with other interns, teammates, and senior leaders. Truist interns sharpen the leadership, technical, and business skills they'll use for the rest of their careers.

The internship program serves as a pipeline to our Truist full-time programs.

Essential duties and responsibilities following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. Each intern will:

  • Learn about banking, financial services, and the various divisions within the organization as assigned during the internship
  • Gain analytical, technical, and decision-making skills through formal and informal learning opportunities
  • Complete special projects or assignments that assist the department in its mission and help the intern learn more about the corporate environment
  • Complete all prescribed training satisfactorily
  • Network with senior leaders, experienced teammates, and other interns to develop lasting professional connections
  • Receive performance feedback

Required qualifications:

  • TMCF participant attending Truist Ascent
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or other advanced degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, statistics, mathematics, computer science, data analytics, or a related field at an accredited college or university
  • Demonstrated strong academic performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and maintain professional composure
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Graduating December 2027 - Spring 2029

Preferred qualifications:

  • Preferred interest in pursuing financial services as a career
  • Demonstrated flexibility in managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
