Core Operations Valuation Analyst
As a Core Operations Valuation Analyst, you'll play a critical role on our team in supporting our daily valuation process. Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing daily and periodic valuation tasks, assessing and tracking vendor performance, and presenting monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc valuation reports to internal committees. You will perform in-depth valuation analysis, focusing on equities, fixed-income and derivative instruments, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
You will analyze and interpret various valuation and liquidity related data and present the analysis and information to senior leaders and oversight committees. You will be responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and testing liquidity classifications of investments and stress testing in accordance with global regulatory requirements.
You have a strong knowledge of securities, financial markets, and valuation techniques (e.g., discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, spread pricing, etc.).
You have general knowledge of mutual funds, the investment management industry and/or GAAP experience.
You have a good understanding of the various methodologies used to price exchange traded securities, OTC instruments, including fixed income and derivative instruments.
You have experience interacting and managing relationships with vendors (pricing vendor experience would be a plus), including performing due diligence.
You have experience performing daily validation of third-party vendor prices.
You have strong and growing analytical and problem-solving capabilities; are able to analyze company financial statements, assess company, industry or market news and its impact on fair value.
You bring exceptional quality and attention to detail to work deliverables. Your professional experience has included times when you've delivered constructive feedback to team members, verbally and in writing.
You enjoy mentoring people, dissecting processes and completing projects. You are a role model who others look to for guidance.
You work well under pressure and meet critical deadlines in a very time sensitive environment.
You have the ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) complex ideas, processes, and situations to various audiences including, senior business leaders, investment analysts, portfolio managers, and oversight committees.
Charlotte Base Salary Range: $87,776-$140,442
Orange County Base Salary Range: $102,330-$163,728
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
