The Director of Finance, FP&A will lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic analysis for a rapidly growing technology company. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role reporting to senior finance leadership and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building scalable finance infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial planning
  • Build and maintain financial models covering revenue, headcount, operating expenses, and cash flow
  • Partner with department leaders to develop and track budgets, analyze variances, and drive accountability
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly executive and board-level reporting packages, including KPI dashboards and management commentary
  • Develop and monitor key business performance metrics, profitability trends, and operational KPIs
  • Lead scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decision-making, growth initiatives, and investment opportunities
  • Improve FP&A processes, systems, and reporting capabilities as the organization scales
  • Support strategic finance initiatives, capital raises, lender relationships, and investor reporting as needed
  • Manage and mentor FP&A team members as the finance function grows
  • Partner closely with Accounting to ensure alignment between forecasts, actual results, and financial reporting
  • Oversee financial risk management activities, including insurance programs and risk assessment processes
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses on major investments, strategic initiatives, and vendor decisions
  • Manage employee equity compensation programs, including grant tracking, vesting schedules, dilution modeling, and reporting
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and key operating metrics
  • Advanced financial modeling skills and experience with financial planning tools
  • Experience building or scaling FP&A functions within growth-stage organizations
  • Proven ability to partner with executive leadership and present to boards, investors, and key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred
  • Experience managing equity compensation programs and capitalization table reporting preferred
  • Experience with financial risk management and corporate insurance programs
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate strategic initiatives through detailed financial and operational analysis
