Manager, Global Tax

Krispy Kreme’s Manager, Global Tax supports the Company’s global tax function and is responsible for managing key aspects of income tax accounting, compliance, tax reporting, transfer pricing support, indirect tax coordination, and tax‑related process execution. This role reports to the Director, Global Tax and works closely with external service providers, external auditors, Legal, Treasury, FP&A, accounting teams, and business partners to help ensure the Company’s tax matters are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with applicable laws and reporting requirements.

Given the Company’s tax operating model, this role will play a key role in coordinating and reviewing work performed by the external accounting firm under the managed services arrangement and in supporting effective execution of tax deliverables and internal controls.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Director, Global Tax in executing the Company’s global tax priorities including income tax accounting, compliance, transfer pricing, indirect tax coordination, and tax‑related projects.
  • Prepare, review, and organize analyses, work papers, and documentation to support tax positions, reporting deliverables, and management review.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assist with assessing impacts to the Company.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of tax processes, documentation, governance, and operating procedures.
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day activities with the external accounting firm engaged in the Company’s tax managed services model.
  • Review assigned tax compliance and accounting deliverables prepared by the external service provider for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with Company expectations.
  • Track timelines, open items, information requests, and deliverables to support timely completion of tax activities.
  • Facilitate communication between external providers and internal stakeholders to support information flow, issue resolution, and process execution.
  • Support preparation and review of the Company’s quarterly and annual income tax provision under U.S. GAAP.
  • Assist with tax‑related disclosures included in Forms 10‑K, 10‑Q, earnings materials, and other public‑company reporting deliverables.
  • Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for uncertain tax positions, valuation allowances, return‑to‑provision analyses, deferred tax balances, and other tax accounting judgments.
  • Partner with accounting and external reporting teams to support accurate reporting of tax balances, effective tax rate drivers, and discrete items.
  • Support tax forecasting, cash tax planning, legal entity management, and tax analyses for business initiatives.
  • Assist with modeling tax impacts of forecasts, restructuring activities, financing transactions, and strategic projects.
  • Work with FP&A, Treasury, Legal, HR, and other functions to gather data, analyze tax implications, and support business decisions.
  • Assist in identifying tax planning opportunities while maintaining alignment with the Company’s control environment and risk appetite.
  • Execute and support controls over income tax accounting and tax‑related processes in accordance with SOX requirements.
  • Maintain process documentation, control narratives, supporting evidence, and review documentation for key tax controls.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors on tax‑related control testing and substantive procedures.
  • Identify process inefficiencies, documentation gaps, or control execution issues and support corrective actions.
  • Build strong working relationships across finance, legal, treasury, operations, HR, and external service providers.
  • Promote timely communication, responsiveness, and accountability in the execution of tax processes.
  • Support improvements to tax calendars, workflow tracking, documentation standards, and recurring close and compliance processes.
  • Provide clear status updates, elevate issues appropriately, and help drive completion of tax deliverables.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience in both public accounting and publicly traded company environments; experience working with outsourced or managed services tax models.
