Pricing Exception and Controls Lead Analyst

The Pricing team for Consumer and Small Business within US Retail Bank and Citigold provides market intelligence, pricing strategy, and analytics for deposit products. Core products include Checking, Savings, Money Market and Certificate of Deposit accounts. The pricing team applies a disciplined analytical decision‑making process and focuses on driving profit and market share growth.

• Develop, maintain, and improve control reporting and activities within the Pricing team
• Support current and future Pricing Strategies and work with internal partners to deliver the necessary controls required to launch those strategies
• Manage the day‑to‑day approvals and processes for Pricing Exceptions
• Assist in development and analysis of strategic product and pricing roadmaps, enhancements, and development to drive deposit growth and revenues, including analyzing competitive industry landscapes to identify relative trends, threats, and opportunities for pricing
• Participate in day‑to‑day pricing management for core products
• Execute pricing that supports the client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred status as a partner to Citi clients
• Provide informal guidance or on‑the‑job training to new team members
• Contribute to the achievement of deposit targets and revenue performance, and identify and execute opportunities to deliver the business plan
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets. This includes driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency

• 5+ years of experience with financial services products/pricing, in business controls, operational risk, and/or internal audit. Ideal candidates will have both strategic and tactical abilities and knowledge of deposit laws and regulations
• Degree in a quantitative field such as finance, economics, business, or a similar discipline
• Strong ability to communicate and present ideas and plans verbally and in writing
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment while carrying multiple projects simultaneously
• Understanding of key revenue and expense drivers for deposits and basic financial planning
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Visual Basic skills
• Experience with SAS, SQL, Tableau, or Python is a plus
• Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Demonstrated analytical skills
• Demonstrated problem‑solving and decision‑making skills

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree;
  Master’s degree preferred
