U.S. Bank is seeking a highly effective and collaborative Risk, Compliance & Audit (RCA) Manager to oversee risk assessments for the Wealth, Corporate, Commercial & Institutional Banking (WCIB) business line. This role is responsible for ensuring operational and compliance risks are identified, assessed, documented, and mitigated in alignment with enterprise framework requirements. As the Risk Assessment Program continues to evolve, this position offers the opportunity to help with program implementation within assigned lines of business.
RESPONSIBILITIESThe RCA Manager partners with assigned lines of business, RCA professionals, RCA managers, and program stakeholders to create, implement, maintain, review, and oversee an effective risk management framework. This role leads and facilitates risk and control assessment activities, documents risks and mitigating controls in accordance with enterprise assessment requirements, identifies gaps, recommends solutions, escalates risks as appropriate, and serves as a functional liaison between the line of business and the lines of defense.
Additional responsibilities for this position include:
- Manage WCIB’s adherence to the Bank’s Risk Assessment Program requirements, including Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Enterprise Compliance Risk Assessment (ECRA), and Enterprise Financial Crimes Compliance (EFCC), for the Global Corporate Trust, Personal Trust, and Institutional Services lines of business.
- Coordinate and complete key program activities, including annual Assessment workshops, quarterly Credible Challenges, and annual Assessment attestations.
- Maintain risk and control records, ensuring documentation aligns with Business Line Control Environment (BLCE), policy requirements.
- Review and address change requests timely, including control change requests, to ensure the control portfolio remains current, accurate, and aligned with control documentation best practices.
- Monitor business, process, product, and emerging risk changes using relevant metrics and indicators, including internal and external losses, issues, Business Change and PRISM activities.
- Conduct quarterly Risk Reviews with Business Unit Risk Managers (BURMs) to assess changes in the risk and control environment and update risk assessments as needed.
- Implement Risk Assessment and BLCE-related policy and procedure changes.
- Serve as a functional liaison between the line of business and Risk Assessment and BLCE program owners and stakeholders.
- Typically more than eight years of applicable experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Considerable understanding of the Trust, Custody, and Investment operations, products, services, systems, and associated risks and controls.
- Thorough knowledge of Risk, Compliance, and Audit competencies.
- Strong analytical, process facilitation, and project management skills.
- Effective presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Effective relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
- Applicable professional certifications.
- This role requires working onsite from a U.S. Bank location three or more days per week.
