- Offer Strategy and Planning team, you will play a key role in developing the future capabilities that a participant within a Vanguard retirement plan will experience. In this high-visibility role, you'll collaborate across Workplace Solutions and Personal Wealth, partnering with teams to deliver exceptional value to the participants, sponsors and consultants whom we serve. This role plays a pivotal part in the Crossover Rollover initiative—an enterprise-wide priority—by shaping strategies that will define the next generation of client engagement and success at Vanguard.

- Offer Strategy and Planning team, you will play a key role in shaping the future capabilities, products, and experiences delivered to participants within employer-sponsored retirement plans, including defined contribution plans such as 401(k), 403(b), and other workplace savings programs.
In this highly visible role, you will leverage deep knowledge of the retirement industry, participant behaviors, rollover strategies, and workplace plan ecosystems to develop innovative solutions that improve participant outcomes and drive business growth. You will collaborate across Workplace Solutions and Personal Wealth divisions, partnering with business, product, digital, operations, and client-facing teams to deliver exceptional value to participants, plan sponsors, consultants, and advisors.
This role plays a pivotal part in an enterprise-wide priorities focused on helping participants successfully transition assets and relationships throughout their financial journey.
Develop a deep understanding of the workplace retirement and defined contribution marketplace by analyzing industry trends, regulatory developments, participant behaviors, rollover activity, recordkeeper capabilities, and competitive offerings. Synthesize insights from plan sponsors, participants, consultants, advisors, and industry research to identify unmet needs and strategic growth opportunities.
Offer Definition & DesignDefine and evolve end-to-end participant offers within employer-sponsored retirement plans, including retirement readiness, rollover, engagement, advice, and wealth accumulation solutions. Identify gaps in Vanguard's current workplace offering and develop recommendations informed by retirement industry best practices and participant needs.
Strategic & Offer AnalysisApply deep retirement industry expertise to evaluate business opportunities, participant engagement strategies, rollover conversion opportunities, and offer performance. Translate complex market, participant, and business insights into actionable recommendations that drive growth, improve participant outcomes, and strengthen Vanguard's competitive position.
Qualifications- Minimum of eight years of related work experience.
- Significant experience within the retirement, workplace savings, wealth management, financial services, or defined contribution industry required.
- Demonstrated expertise in employer-sponsored retirement plans, including 401(k), 403(b), rollover, participant engagement, retirement readiness, or related workplace solutions.
- Experience developing business strategies, products, offers, client experiences, or capabilities within the retirement, benefits, recordkeeping, or wealth management space.
- Strong understanding of retirement industry trends, participant behavior, competitive dynamics, and the regulatory environment impacting workplace retirement plans.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and lead strategic initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
- Experience working with retirement plan recordkeepers, investment providers, retirement consultants, plan sponsors, or advisory firms.
