Real Estate Finance Mid-Level Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a real estate finance attorney with at least four years of experience for its Charlotte, NC office. The candidate should have significant experience representing institutional lenders, investment banks, or CMBS platforms in connection with the origination of CMBS and/or CLO loans across various commercial real estate asset classes.

• Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents, including loan agreements and promissory notes.
• Conduct and oversee due diligence, including review of zoning reports and leases.
• Structure transactions to comply with CMBS securitization requirements.
• Advise clients on structural and legal issues affecting securitization eligibility.
• Coordinate closings and manage transaction timelines.
• Support post-closing matters and prepare for loan reviews.

• North Carolina Bar License required (or ability to waive into North Carolina).
• Familiarity with rating agency criteria and securitization requirements.

Strong academic background.

North Carolina Bar License.
