Overview

A large international law firm is seeking a Structured Credit & Collateralized Loan Obligations Associate Attorney to join its expanding, high-performing Global Finance group in Charlotte, NC. The team is known for its premier structured credit practice, representing a diverse global client base that includes major asset managers, equity investors, and leading CLO underwriters such as large investment and commercial banks.

you'll do
  • Advise on a wide range of structured finance and securitization matters, with a focus on CLOs
  • Represent asset managers, equity investors, and underwriters in structuring and executing complex financial transactions
  • Collaborate with a global team to deliver sophisticated legal services in structured finance and capital markets
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while advising clients on innovative financing solutions
What you'll need
  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in North Carolina
  • 3+ years of substantive securitization and structured finance experience, or transactional experience with a strong desire to transition into CLOs
  • Prior experience with private credit, CLOs, fund finance, NAV-based facilities, or subscription line credit facilities preferred but not required
  • Large law firm experience strongly preferred
Compensation and benefits
  • Starting salary of $260,000+, commensurate with class year and experience
