Operations Specialist – Financial Services Firm
Work Environment:
On-site — training in Belmont, with primary placement at our client's Ballantyne office
We're hiring an Operations Specialist on behalf of our client — a growing financial services firm based in the Charlotte, NC metro area. This role plays a critical part in the firm's continued expansion into a new office, taking full ownership of client-facing account operations for that location. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, confident operations professional who thrives working autonomously and isn't afraid to hold firm on process.
CoreResponsibilities
- Facilitate new client account openings, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate
- Process in-force service requests, including beneficiary changes, transfers, and account updates
- Serve as the primary point of contact between advisors and clients once a prospect converts to a client
- Manage annuity, life, long-term care, and brokerage account processing
- Maintain client records across the firm's CRM and related systems
- Ensure all account activity complies with firm policy and industry regulation
- Operate independently at a satellite office location, escalating appropriately when needed
- Uphold firm processes consistently, including when an advisor requests an exception
- 3-5 years of experience in financial services operations, with direct exposure to custodial platforms (Schwab, Fidelity, or similar)
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to ramp up on new systems within 60-90 days
- Confident, professional, and capable of working independently with minimal day-to-day oversight
- Strong communicator who is comfortable being the primary client contact
- Series 65/66 and life & health licensing are a plus, not required
- Base salary of $55,000 to $75,000, depending on experience

This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Charlotte metro area, with initial training at our client's Belmont location before transitioning to their Ballantyne office.
