** Role Overview

** team — with
** over $60 billion in AUM** — is hiring an Associate or Senior Associate to assist in the underwriting, execution, and management of private credit financing solutions for private equity-sponsored transactions across a variety of industries. The role can be based in Charlotte, NC or New York, NY, and involves working closely with senior investment professionals across the full investment lifecycle: opportunity evaluation, due diligence, structuring, investment committee approval, transaction execution, and ongoing portfolio management.
** Key Responsibilities**- Conduct comprehensive credit underwriting and due diligence on prospective investments, including meetings with management teams and leading private equity sponsors
- Perform detailed financial analysis on potential borrowers, including historical financial performance and customer/product trend analysis
- Develop comprehensive operating and LBO models to evaluate investment opportunities under multiple operating and capital structure scenarios
- Assist in preparing investment memos describing borrower business operations, industry dynamics, and financial performance
- Prepare and present investment recommendations to senior investment professionals and investment committees
- Monitor a portfolio of existing investments, including quarterly financial reviews, covenant compliance analysis, amendment requests, liquidity assessments, risk rating recommendations, and investment valuations
** Qualifications**- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting- 2-6 years of work experience, preferably in private credit, investment banking, transaction advisory, or commercial banking
- Strong analytical skill set and advanced Excel skills
- Effective communication skills and demonstrated work ethic
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
** Compensation & Location
** Base salary range of **$120,000-$160,000**, plus additional incentive compensation. Position can be based in Charlotte, NC or New York, NY. Barings offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical/dental/vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, and paid parental leave.
