About

The Role

As the FP&A Systems and Data Analyst at United Utility, you will lead Power BI development, financial data modeling, planning‑system data structures, and practical systems improvements that reduce manual effort and support faster, more confident decision‑making. You will build dashboards, datasets, and repeatable reporting processes that support the FP&A group and Finance department. By improving the way financial data is structured, refreshed, governed, and consumed, you will help the business move from static reporting toward faster insight, cleaner metrics, and a more durable analytics environment.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail‑oriented, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented, multi‑entity environment. This role will support financial modeling, consolidated reporting across business units, operational analytics, and process improvement initiatives that help drive scalability across the organization. This position will be in office Monday‑Thursday with a remote option on Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the Finance organization’s Power BI resource and manage dashboards used for revenue, margin, SG&A, operating expenses, headcount, KPIs, forecasts, and executive reporting.
  • Create, enhance, and support financial data models, DAX measures, Power Query logic, and dataflows.
  • Limit recurring ad‑hoc reporting by developing reusable datasets, shared reporting layers, and self‑service options.
  • Design and maintain data structures that support operating forecasts, long‑range planning, and repeatable analysis.
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, refresh errors, modeling issues, and inconsistencies in reporting outputs.
  • Replace manual reporting steps with automated solutions using Power Query, dataflows, modeling techniques, and workflow tools.
  • Strengthen data quality, metric alignment, and repeatability across FP&A processes and stakeholder groups.
  • Help evolve Finance workflows so AI‑enabled solutions can deliver more timely information and stronger predictive capabilities.
  • Provide analytical support to FP&A and Finance teams.
  • Prepare variance analysis and translate financial data into clear, actionable insights.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced Power BI capability, including DAX, Power Query/M, dimensional modeling, dataflows, and workspace administration.
  • Two to six years of relevant experience in BI development, data analytics,…
