The Individual Retirement Sales Desk supports the distribution of Equitable's retirement and annuity products. The team partners with Internal and External Wholesalers to help Financial Professionals evaluate and position retirement solutions for their clients. As a Summer Intern, you will gain exposure to the financial services industry and the role of wholesaling through meaningful project work and real-world business experiences.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with 3 days in office combining flexibility with team collaboration.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop an understanding of retirement and annuity products through training and hands on experience.
• Work alongside Internal Wholesalers to learn how retirement solutions are marketed and distributed through relationships with Financial Professionals and industry partners.
• Learn how annuity illustrations and product concepts are used to help Financial Professionals present retirement solutions to clients.
• Utilize CRM systems, reporting tools, and business data to prepare call lists, reports, and other materials that support team initiatives.
• Contribute to projects that support key priorities within the Individual Retirement business.

Internship Details
Dates: Nine-week program starting in early June 2027
Hourly Rate: $22/hour
Location: Charlotte, NC

What You’ll Bring
Required

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (rising junior or senior preferred)
• Interest in financial services, sales, and relationship driven business environments.
• Experience taking initiative and leading through academics, athletics, campus organizations, extracurricular activities, or employment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Preferred

• Pursing a degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
