** Role overview
** Citi is seeking a Vice President to join the Citi Impact Fund investment team and work across the fund's four verticals. The $500 million Citi Impact Fund was launched in 2020 to make direct equity investments in double-bottom line U.S.
-based start-ups that use technology to address pressing social challenges. It is part of Citi Community Investing and Development. The role is based in Charlotte, NC, with frequent travel to New York.

** Key responsibilities**- Investment execution: lead diligence and investment thesis building; prepare investment memorandums, build financial models, conduct market research, present to the internal investment committee and manage approval processes
- Work cross-functionally on new and follow-on investments; support sourcing, market landscaping and thesis building
- Build relationships with key venture capital, impact investing and start-up ecosystem players and represent the Fund at industry events
- Portfolio management: monitor portfolio company performance, track financial and impact results, and prepare quarterly portfolio reviews
- Support follow-on investments, including diligence, approvals, execution and structuring, and support portfolio companies through founder meetings and partnerships across Citi
** Qualifications**- 2+ years of private equity / venture capital investing experience; 4-5+ years total in a relevant role (investment banking, strategy consulting, corporate finance, or direct business/start-up operating experience in one of the fund's verticals)- Strong preference for direct investing experience in at least one key vertical; impact investing experience or interest strongly preferred
- Ability to build complex financial models, analyze large data sets, conduct primary market and industry diligence, and prepare valuation analysis
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a technical/analytical discipline such as finance or economics
