This role demands a strong understanding of delegated authority structures, cash flow processes, and the financial dynamics of fronted programs. The ideal candidate brings 5-7 years of experience in insurance finance with a focus on claims distributions and premium reconciliation in MGA-fronted arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage funding activities between fronting carriers, MGAs, reinsurers, and TPAs to support claims payments and premium settlements.

- Reconcile cash flows related to premium collections, claims disbursements, and fees (e.g., fronting fees, ceding commissions, MGA fees).
- Maintain detailed documentation of all funding activity in accordance with internal audit, compliance, and contractual requirements.
- Monitor escrow and trust account balances to ensure sufficiency for current and future program obligations.
- Collaborate closely with program managers, finance, claims, legal, and compliance teams to ensure end-to-end funding accuracy.
- Act as a liaison between internal departments and external partners (MGAs, TPAs, reinsurers, auditors).
- Support month-end and quarterly close processes including reporting on funding activity and account reconciliations.
- Recommend enhancements to existing processes and tools to drive greater accuracy, speed, and transparency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Insurance, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in insurance program operations or finance, with strong exposure to fronting arrangements and MGA partnerships.
- Deep understanding of insurance program mechanics, including bordereaux processing, TPA/MGA workflows, and premium/claims allocation.
- Proficient in Excel and financial software.
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to interface effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
- Working knowledge of regulatory and contractual funding requirements, including trust and collateralized accounts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with fronting carriers and MGA/TPA ecosystems in commercial lines or E&S markets.
- Familiarity with reinsurance flows within fronted programs (optional but beneficial).
- Industry certifications such as AIAF, ARe, CPCU, or CPA are a plus.
- Experience with bordereaux platforms or program administration tools (e.g., Insurity, Origami, VIPR, or custom-built solutions).
