- You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
- You will formulate budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, and review and evaluate budget requests.
- You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of the organization’s programs and administrative operations and implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.
- You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization’s programs and activities.
- You will plan work, sets priorities and schedule work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work.
- You will develop performance standards and evaluate employee performance, interview candidates, recommend hiring and promotions, and identify and arrange for employee development and training.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR .
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management.
