Description of Work Reporting to the Warden II, this position will provide supervision of subordinate staff. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Managing the total programs services of a minimum custody facility.

- Supervising the educational, classification, recreational, religion, and medical services as well as the traditional program components for offenders.

- Serving as acting Warden in the absence of the Warden II and participating as part of the management team.

- Providing on-going training to staff and is in charge of planning, direction, and enhancement of programs within the correctional facility.

- Evaluating recommendations from the Correctional Programs Director and/or other senior officials.

- Evaluating feasibility of programs and providing status reports to the Warden II.Knowledge

Skills and Abilities

/Management Preferences Salary Range: $50,088 - $87,654

Necessary Special Qualifications :

MUST be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.

Meet Criminal Justice Standards requirements (12 NCAC 09G .0302)
Pass a criminal background check

Produce a negative drug screening result

Successfully complete medical and psychological evaluations

Possess a valid driver’s license
