Location: Goldsboro, NC

Starting Pay: $29.33/hr

Pay Range: $29.33 – $48.39/hr

The Cardiac Sonographer demonstrates competence in delivering pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment and emergency cardiac care (CPR required). This role is responsible for performing diagnostic echo cardiographic procedures, maintaining equipment and data systems, and supporting efficient clinical operations. Assistance with post-procedure patient transport may be required.

• Prepare the procedure room and ultrasound equipment for daily use, ensuring all equipment is calibrated, properly maintained, and ready for operation
• Perform and document daily equipment maintenance and quality assurance monitoring
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor
• Review patient information, verify procedure orders, and conduct pre-procedure patient assessments
• Generate diagnostic ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular-related structures
• Monitor patient condition during procedures and provide emergency cardiac care as needed, including CPR
• Monitor, record, and maintain accurate patient information throughout procedures
• Compile and enter data required for charge entry and prepare procedure reports
• Store, retrieve, and manage reports and patient data within automated storage systems
• Perform post-procedure patient assessments and provide appropriate post-procedure care
• Assist with post-procedure patient transport when required
• Ensure timely and efficient room preparation and turnover between procedures
• Participate in staff training and education as assigned

• RDCS certification through ARDMS OR
• RCS, ACS, or RCCS certification through CCI
• Current CPR certification
• At least 1 year of experience performing echocardiograms

• Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM): +$2.70/hr
• Night Shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM): +$3.60/hr

• 50–250 miles: $2,500
• 251–500 miles: $5,000
• 501+ miles: $10,000

• Upon Hire: $2,500
• 6 Months: $2,500
• 1 Year: $7,000
• 2 Years: $8,000

Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
