Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with ARRT-R certification and at least one year of recent experience to join a fast-paced academic Level I trauma hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Work in a Level I adult and pediatric trauma, teaching hospital setting
  • Perform diagnostic imaging for adults and pediatric patients from ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatients
  • Average department volume is 350-400 patients per day
  • No floating outside the assigned department
  • Day shift position Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with all weekend shifts required
  • Call coverage is shared in a fair rotation among all teammates
  • Travelers are expected to work holiday shifts unless time off is approved in advance
  • EPIC is used as the EMR, with experience preferred
  • Equipment includes Shimadzu Rad Speed, Intelli-C multipurpose, Konica and Shimadzu portable, GE and Siemens R/F rooms
  • Responsibilities include performing a full range of radiological exams for diverse diagnoses and patient populations
  • Team includes a lead tech, modality supervisor, imaging manager, and staff with a variety of experience levels
  • Five-day departmental orientation provided, with flexibility based on the traveler's needs

  • Scrub color for technologists is black
  • Free parking is available on site
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
Requirements
  • Active ARRT-R certification and BLS required
  • Active state license required if applicable
  • Minimum 12 months of core experience as a Radiology Technologist within the past year
  • Strong clinical skills, ability to work in a high-volume, high-acuity environment, and effective communication skills are essential
  • Experience with the EPIC EMR is preferred
  • Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
  • At least one professional reference from a supervisor, manager, director, or charge RN dated within one year
  • Candidates must not have worked at an AHSE facility in a perm position within the past year
