Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including mandatory structural heart scrub experience, for a cardiac cath lab setting.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based cardiac cath lab with 3 procedure rooms
- Procedures include complex PCIs, balloon angioplasty, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, Rotablader, TAVR, and structural heart interventions
- Preferred procedural experience includes Watchman, septal closure, ablations, coil embolization, and filter placement
- Uses Epic and MAC Lab systems
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Call required with callback, including 9–11 call days per 6-week schedule and 1–2 weekend call rotations
- Floating to EP may occasionally be required but is rare; unit also has an internal patient holding area
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Local candidates are accepted
- RTO requests after booking are not permitted
- Orientation start date may fall on a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week — candidates must be fully available with no other commitments during orientation week, as missing any portion may result in a delayed or canceled start
- Final start date is confirmed the Tuesday prior to the start week
- Scrubs are provided
- An interview with the hiring manager is required prior to offer — candidates should be prepared to interview within 72 hours of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience required
- Structural heart scrub experience is mandatory — candidates without this will not be considered
- Required skills include scrubbing, monitoring, PA lines, telemetry, and TAVR experience
- At least one of the following certifications required: RCIS or ARRT
- Current ACLS and BLS required
- Preferred skills include circulating, IV starts, conscious sedation, and rhythm interpretation
- License required if applicable
