PRN variable schedule. This position is sign‑on bonus eligible based on eligibility. Radiology program senior/rising senior student preferred.

Pay Range

$21.00 – $21.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic diagnostic x‑rays supervised by a radiology technologist.
  • Identify and assist patients with questions about procedures.
  • Prepare patients for exam and ensure patient safety in the absence of the radiology technologist.
  • Obtain medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast media materials as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner, authorized/certified technologist, or registered nurse.
  • Assist physicians and technologists in the performance of diagnostic exams based on assigned modality and career pursuits (Rad/Fluro, CT, IR, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound) to include procedures requiring the administration of contrast media.
  • Retrieve patient orders and requisitions while supporting administrative or miscellaneous work tasks in the RIS, EMR, or other standard applications required in the workflow for diagnostic exams.
  • Assist patients to restrooms, with bedpans, urinals and other ancillary clinical support needs as required.
  • Assist with administrative duties, quality assurance, safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Physical Requirements

Requires moderate to heavy physical effort in lifting and moving patients, equipment and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and sitting during normal operation. Frequently may be required to stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel in daily operation of the assigned clinical area. May be exposed to various physical conditions such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, being near moving equipment. Requires use of radiation safety guidelines to prevent exposure to ionizing radiation, MRI safety, and infection control as dictated by the procedural area.

Education,

Experience And Certifications

High School Diploma or GED with preliminary coursework toward a certificate or degree in a medical imaging field. Clinical experience based on the educational program affiliated with the pursuit of a career in medical imaging; medical clerical skills preferred.
