** We are currently searching for a Patient Services Specialist to work at our Ortho Carolina Spine Center location in Charlotte.
** The
** Patient Services Specialist
** greets patients, prepares forms, collects, verifies and enters patient information into EPIC necessary for the timely and accurate processing of patient claims.
*
* Essential Functions:

*** Prepares paperwork necessary for the patient visit.
* Answers incoming phone calls and directs calls, makes appointments, performs Cashier duties as directed including posting of charges,
* Collection of co-payments/co-insurance and balances due.
* Follows the process for release of medical information and FMLA/disability forms completion as requested.
*
* Skills and Abilities:

*** Excellent customer service skills
* Working knowledge of insurance
* Epic/EMR background a plus
* Medical terminology
*
* Qualifications:

*** High school graduate and/or associate or bachelor's degree
* Prefer minimum of one year experience in medical clinic setting.### ###
