We focus on each individual's unique needs and deliver the highest quality services possible by ensuring that each individual receives the right support, at the right time and frequency by a caring qualified staff member in the most independent setting appropriate.
Whatwe need:
Friendly and caring individuals who work with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) living in a residential home setting in Charlotte and surrounding areas. Must be willing to have an open and flexible schedule;
Must be willing to travel within Mecklenburg and Union Counties;
- Teach and assist with meal planning and cooking.
- Instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal care & hygiene.
- Provide community recreational activities when available.
- Provide and participate in in-home leisure activities.
- Documentation of activities.
- Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
- Must be willing to drive a full-size passenger van.
- Willingness to help others
- Must be at least 21 yrs old; prior group home experience, preferred
- At least 6 months of previous experience (paid or volunteer) working with the I/DD population or experience relevant to the role; must be verifiable.
- A valid Driver's license
- A High School Diploma or GED
Hours:
40 hours/week Rate: $17.50 per hour
