Description:
About the Facility:
The facility has a total of 874 licensed beds.
It is a Level I Trauma center and a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma center.
This is a teaching hospital with a Chest Pain Center.
The facility also operates as a Stroke Center.
Department Information:
The average number of patients per day is between 350-400.
A minimum of 1 year of experience is required for this position.
First-time travelers are welcomed and accepted.
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
The department serves adults and pediatric patients from various areas including the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, nursing units, and outpatients.
A full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses is conducted.
Required Skills:
Candidates must demonstrate confidence in their clinical skill sets.
The ability to work in a fast-paced and high patient acuity environment is essential.
Good communication skills and a preference for teamwork and helpfulness are strongly preferred.
Support within the Department:
All departments have support staff including a lead tech, modality supervisor, and imaging manager.
The team is diverse, with varying years of experience from new graduates to long-tenured teammates.
Technology/Equipment:
The facility utilizes an Electronic Medical Record system.
Department-specific equipment includes general radiography rooms and portable imaging systems.
Scheduling Details:
There are no rotations between weekends and weekdays.
Travelers will maintain the same schedule according to the contract.
Call requirements vary and are managed with a fair rotation amongst team members.
Travelers are expected to assist with holiday coverage unless approved off in advance.
Requests for time off must receive managerial approval.
The facility operates 24/7/365, so travelers will fill any currently vacant shift as per the contract.
Contracts for travelers typically last 13 weeks.

Scrub color for technologists is black.
