American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a night shift assignment requiring ARRT or NMTCB certification and at least one year of recent MRI experience.
- Role is based in a hospital radiology department serving ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populations
- Department typically performs an average of 23 MRI studies per day
- MRI equipment includes a GE 1.5T SIGNA Artist 450W scanner
- EMR system is Epic, with records managed via Epic Radiant and images via Philips iSite PACS
- No call or floating required for this position
- Schedule is Friday to Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 12-hour night shifts
- No trauma designation; department does not perform cardiac imaging
- Active ARRT(R) or NMTCB certification with either ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT credential
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent MRI technologist experience required
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Must be able to safely prepare and administer IV contrast per protocols
- Must be able to work with ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populations including patients with medical devices
- License required if applicable
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
- At least 1 recent professional reference from a supervisor or above is required
- Travelers must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not eligible
- Must have been separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after a permanent position (if returning)
- Responsible for all aspects of MRI scanning, from patient verification through to completion of the exam
- May assist anesthesia and work with cases requiring anesthesia as needed
- Expected to adhere to all safety procedures, infection control, and MRI safety requirements for staff and patients
- Department support includes guest services, transport, and a tech assistant during overnight shifts
- Administrative onboarding is 1 day, with up to 1 week of departmental orientation as needed
- Scrub color is black
- Surface lot and parking deck options are available at no cost
- Travelers will work 75% of holidays
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Resource Team approval required for time off requests
