Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, with proficiency in scrubbing, monitoring, and complex cardiovascular procedures including Structural Heart and TAVR.
Details
• Hospital-based Cath Lab setting
• Patient assignment of up to 3 rooms
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00–17:30), Monday–Friday
• On-call required one day per week and one weekend per four weeks; call frequency may increase when colleagues call out sick
• Floating to EP lab may be required on rare occasions; the unit's internal patient holding area is considered part of the Cath Lab
• Required procedures include:
Balloon Angioplasty, PCI, Stents, Thrombectomy, Impella Insertion, Left & Right Heart Catheterization, Rotablader, and complex PCIs
• Structural Heart and TAVR experience required
• Preferred procedures include:
Watchman Procedures, Septal Closure, Ablations, Coil Embolization, and Filter Placement
• Preferred skills include:
Circulate, IV Start, Conscious Sedation, and Rhythm Interpretation
• EMR systems used:
Epic and MAC Lab
Requirements
• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• At least one of the following certifications required: RCIS or ARRT
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Proficiency in Scrub, Monitor, PA Lines, and Telemetry required
• Structural Heart and TAVR experience required
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• State Board of Nursing License Verification and NURSYS Verification required for consideration
Additional Information
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• No RTO is permitted after booking; call-offs or unplanned time off may result in contract cancellation
• 13-week contract minimum; candidates interested in a longer assignment are encouraged to indicate that preference
